The Kwara State government had a transparency problem. Budget data existed but lived in PDF reports few citizens ever read. There was no digital interface for residents to understand how public funds were being allocated or spent.
We designed and built an interactive budget visualization platform with charts, filters, and narrative summaries that translate raw budget lines into plain language insights. The Citizen Budget was built to serve the widest possible range of people, with simple language and visuals anyone could connect with.
